Provide mechanical technical support to the Operations and Maintenance departments in the resolution of key integrity and operational issues, related to performance standard failure.Contribute to operational risk assessments (ORA)
Assist the Integrity department in assuring the integrity of pressure systems equipment by means of performing ‘fitness for service’ assessments for existing equipment/piping and determining any necessary remedial action
Specify temporary repair designs and refurbishment of defective equipment for the Maintenance department
Specify mechanical engineering work scopes for the Projects department, oversee outsourced engineering design, and review vendor documentation.
Ensure compliance with EU/NL legislation for new and modified pressure equipment.Manage design appraisals for new and modified equipment by the Notified Body.
Ensure quality management for new and modified static (pressure) equipment according to design codes and TAQA specifications/standards
Manage mechanical engineering standards and specifications, and update as required
Owner of performance standards for Hydrocarbon Containment (SECE 01), with possible extension of responsibility to other relevant SECEs
Contribute to Root Cause Analysis of mechanical equipment failures
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering (UK) or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (NL)
Dutch & English language
Basic Offshore Safety Training (BOSIET/NOGEPA 0.5A)
Minimum of five years of recent experience with the mechanical engineering design of static equipment, especially piping, pressure vessels and heat exchangers
Familiar with EU and NL legislation for static equipment (PED, OSD, WBDA)
Experience with quality assurance and control for design and fabrication of static equipment
Knowledge of pressure equipment design codes and standards
Experience with maintenance and (risk based) inspection of pressure equipment
Experience with Maximo
Familiar with safety & environmental critical equipment (SECE) and performance standards
Experience of working in the NL or UK oil and gas industry
Willing to travel offshore occasionally
Accustomed to working independently and identifying business priorities with little supervision
Develops highly-effective working relationships with stakeholders
