Job Description

CSS Group: the Dutch CSS Group consists of four diverse businesses including Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), Biosense Webster (BWI), Cerenovus Neuro and Mentor. The CSS Group serves a diverse base of customers in Infection Prevention, Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology (EP), Surgical and Non-Surgical Aesthetics and – with CERENOVUS – neurovascular treatments.

CERENOVUS: Cerenovus is a global neurovascular company that offers a broad portfolio of devices for aneurysm coils, vascular reconstruction devices and other technologies used in the endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms and stroke, minimally invasive solutions for stroke prevention and management, and the treatment of cerebral arteriovenous malformations.

The Sales Consultant Cerenovus is responsible for achieving Cerenovus Neurovascular product sales to new and established accounts to accomplish sales objectives and greater market penetration. This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions.

Accomplishes targeted sales and increases the market share. Serves multiple accounts in a prescribed territory. Conducts and implements complex Market Development and Field Marketing activities. Makes preplanned sales presentations and demonstrates proper use of products to physicians. Develops customer and product focused presentation packages for sales. Contacts and schedules appointments with potential new customers. Promotes and coordinates Professional Education activities extensively to enhance the knowledge of Health care professionals. Makes regular visits to customer locations to gather information on orders and market conditions. Identifies customer needs and recommends new products to address them. Executes contract and/or tender management activities. Targets and manages assigned territory while operating within an assigned budget. Coordinates with the logistics team to ensure product availability. Executes national, regional and local promotional activities that are designed to advance sales in specific product lines and therapeutic areas. Follows up with customers, gives technical and professional support. Analyzes and develops sales forecasts for business planning by account and submits to management. Prepares sales reports and documents as required. Reviews customer orders and product sales and establishes improvement plan. Provides feedback on customers, promotional programs, and environmental changes and provides ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace. Works with members of the regional sales team to improve product and company performance in the marketplace. This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions

Main areas of responsibility / expected results / objectives of the role:

Acquisition of new customers:

  • Analyze and integrate information to define business potentials for Cerenovus products
  • Collaborate with BUL, BDM, EMEA Marketing and Medical Education team to drive the Cerenovus marketing strategy
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Account Manager to enforce the final sale of Cerenovus products and services
  • Define specific projects as part of the overall account plan that will lead to customer acquisition
  • Establish contacts with key opinion leaders to turn them into strong promoters of our products and our company
  • Initiate, facilitate congresses, user meetings and events that improve the understanding of our offer

Management of existing customers and development of new customers:

  • Develop new (inter)national KOL’s
  • Maintain contacts with KOL’s, INR’s and IR lab management to make them promoters of our products and our company
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Account Manager and contribute to the Account Plan to enforce the final sale of JnJ products and services
  • Communicate with customers in the event of complaints, problems or backorders
  • Provide training courses to surgeons, specialists, nurses and operating theater management
  • Apply Healthcare Compliance regulations
  • Provide customer-focused service to develop customer relationships;
  • Communicate with Customer Service, Management and other internal departments about customer information.
  • Bachelor/ Master degree para medical, business administration or economics
  • Knowledge of languages: Dutch, English
  • Proven track record and demonstrated capabilities in a sales position
  • Basic understanding of Medical Device or Pharma marketing
  • Proven ability to manage complexity & thrives in uncertain/ambiguous circumstances
  • Ability to connect and effectively collaborate across a diverse group of business stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong passion and track record for business accomplishments & will to make things happen & deliver
  • Strong communication skills & influencing skills
