As a Group Account Director, you will act as the executive lead for some of our most strategically important client relationships. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise client partnership, commercial growth, operational leadership, and creative production excellence. You’ll oversee a global high‑performing account with a regional creative production ecosystem, acting as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders in AUNZ, while driving innovation, margin growth, and long‑term value. You’ll lead a cross‑functional team that includes creative, production and operational talent, ensuring every facet of the relationship – from day‑to‑day delivery to long‑term transformation – is world‑class. You will be expected to set and execute a strategic growth agenda, penetrate new business units, and expand our footprint across business units, capabilities, and deliverables. Internally, you’ll serve as a senior operator, designing and evolving workflows, scaling AI‑powered efficiencies, and partnering with executive leadership to shape the future of how we deliver.

Key Responsibilities- Own the client relationship, including fiscal health and overall growth.
- Identify new opportunities within current client relationships, understand the full breadth of Monks’ capabilities and orchestrate compelling solutions for expansion and varying client needs.
- Manage and build strong senior stakeholder relationships; provide strategic guidance to deliver against the client’s business objectives, building trust, credibility and rapport with key POCs.
- Become a trusted partner, understanding clients’ business challenges and be able to articulate strategies to address those needs.
- Effectively consult on creative ideas and executions.
- Inspire larger creative strategies that can create further business outcomes and align closely with growth objectives of the client and The Monks business.
- Drive adoption of AI‑powered tools and platforms to unlock production speed, cost savings, and content personalization at scale.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of client’s business, industry and competition.
- Develop robust communication plans and engagement strategies, with an emphasis on strengthening key relationships and expanding stakeholder coverage across the organisation.
- Own the future‑state vision and strategic narrative associated with our partnership that underpins all workstreams and initiatives for cross‑functional teams to work towards.
- Ensure that business outcomes are clearly defined, approved and delivered with benefits realised and value realised and articulated at each step of the way.
- Drive discovery for new business opportunities and manage the end‑to‑end sales cycle, with an emphasis on pipeline generation, as well as cross‑sell and up‑sell tactics.
- Orchestrate our cross‑capability operating model through an understanding of all ongoing fulfillment projects to continually reinforce ROI and future roadmap initiatives.
- Lead key milestones and drive collaboration across capabilities for partnership‑led workstreams, including QBRs, top‑to‑tops and broader strategy & planning.
- Facilitate a uniform method for client experience across pillars, setting clear expectations with capabilities to reinforce exceptional client service standards.
- Manage feedback loops with clients, including facilitating 360‑degree feedback and recurring pulse checks for continuous improvement of partnership quality.
- 7+ years of experience in client services, project management or production roles.
- Expertise in leading digital marketing briefs from initial brief to final delivery.
- Understanding of social as a channel, experience with social strategy, creators and types of social creative used as a growth‑driving channel for brands.
- Ability to translate marketing goals and business objectives into clear, actionable briefs for creative & production teams.
- Relationships and experience with third‑party vendors, production partners, creators who could be suitable to collaborate with.
- Deep understanding of the digital marketing & advertising ecosystem, and awareness of the latest AI‑driven disruption, emerging technologies and innovation.
- Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships, driving revenue growth while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Commercial proficiency; owning project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and within scope; experience pricing/scoping detailed statements of work (SOWs).
- Ability to forecast agency resource needs and manage internal studio capacity effectively with support from producers.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholder types, from C‑suite through to specialists.
- Curiosity, self‑motivation and proactivity.
- Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in writing business cases.
- Ability to present effectively, and craft compelling proposals using Google Slides.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Track record of effective program management and demonstrable commercial acumen.
- Strong analytical and consulting skills, rooted in the ability to draw and communicate insights from multiple data points.
- Experience as an Executive Producer, looking to be more externally focused.
- Suitable for an Account Director or Senior Account Director who is not afraid to get hands‑on to support existing delivery structures; current/recent experience with production processes and workflows viewed highly.
- Strong grasp of the overall emerging digital space, including knowledge of Monks competitive set and our offerings across data, technology, content and digital media.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and develop processes and workflows that increase revenue and value‑realisation for clients.
- Ambition to perform unprecedented tasks, obtain new skills, be comfortable with uncertainty and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, with an ability to unearth actionable insights using a range of platforms and tools.
