Purpose- The Corporate Occupational Safety Specialist is in charge of the continuous identification, analysis, and implementation of occupational safety framework to ensure a safe work environment, uphold SBM Offshore’s reputation as a reference in Occupational Safety for Oil & Gas industry, sustain positive safety records, and assure regulatory compliance.
- You develop and maintain global standards, processes and procedures related to Occupational Safety and Process Safety to safeguard the safety of company’s employees, subcontractors and assets.
- You support the management of the Occupational Safety framework.
- You develop, implement and ensure the verification of standards and procedures in alignment with Group strategy, applicable regulations, and industry best practices.
- You develop, implement, update and improve the Occupational Safety Training Framework.
- You monitor, consolidate and analyze lagging KPIs.
- You supervise and support external consultants providing services for the discipline.
- You develop and deploy campaigns, awareness initiatives, promotions and digital tools related to the discipline.
- You support the Risk Assessment process and incident investigation by defining tools, conducting assessments, and supporting Level 1 investigations.
- Bachelor degree in occupational health and safety, environmental, industrial hygiene, or related areas.
- Fluent in English.
- 8+ years in offshore or chemical industry business.
- Solid experience in controls of work activities.
- Solid knowledge and experience on main safety standards such as OSHA, ISO45001, IOGP, HSEUK, etc.
