Teacher of Health & Social Care - KS4 & Post-16

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to teach Health & Social Care at KS4 and Post-16, delivering engaging lessons that prepare students for further study and careers within the health, social care and public services sectors.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
Deliver engaging and effective Health & Social Care lessons across KS4 and Post-16.
Inspire students through creative and innovative teaching.
Prepare learners successfully for examinations and coursework assessments.
Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing effective feedback.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain high standards of behaviour, achievement and attendance.
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
Support enrichment activities and wider school initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and improve outcomes.
Participate fully in staff meetings, parents' evenings and professional development activities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
A degree in Health & Social Care, Social Sciences, Nursing, Public Health or a related discipline.
Experience teaching Health & Social Care at KS4 and/or Post-16 level.
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for the subject.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
The ability to motivate, challenge and support learners of all abilities.
A commitment to raising attainment and achieving excellent student outcomes.
A dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
