The Opportunity: As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in:
Maintaining, servicing and repairing manufacturing plant and equipment to minimise production downtime.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective electrical and mechanical repairs across a wide range of production machinery.
Supporting highly automated production equipment while developing your knowledge of modern Manufacturing 4.0 technologies.
Recording faults, breakdowns and maintenance activities accurately using the CMMS system.
Promoting safe working practices through risk assessments and compliance with company procedures.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, increased reliability and enhanced production efficiency.
Supporting the development of Apprentices and fellow Technicians through coaching and knowledge sharing.
Coordinating and monitoring external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
Carrying out planned inspections, preventative maintenance and equipment testing. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining industry-leading manufacturing performance while supporting a business that continues to invest in innovation, automation and future growth.
About You: We're looking for someone who can bring:
Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
The client will consider candidates with either a mechanical or electrical maintenance bias.
Strong fault-finding and repair skills across manufacturing plant and equipment.
Experience working with both manual and highly automated production machinery.
A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
Awareness of PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous.
Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
A proactive approach to health and safety.
Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit Engineering team.
A positive attitude and a willingness to continually learn, develop and share knowledge. The Benefits and Package: In return, you'll enjoy:
