How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electrical Contracts Manager

    SERVICE & MAINTENANCE DIVISION
    LOCATION: Hull & Yorkshire
    SALARY: Excellent + Company Car

GW Power is recruiting an Electrical Contracts Manager to join its established Service & Maintenance Division.
The Electrical Contracts Manager will oversee a varied portfolio of planned and reactive electrical works across commercial and public-sector estates.
As Electrical Contracts Manager, you’ll manage projects valued between £5,000 and £100,000 from initial survey through to completion.
This Electrical Contracts Manager opportunity would suit an experienced manager or an electrically qualified professional ready to step away from the tools.

GW Power is an established M&E, renewable technologies, maintenance and decarbonisation provider delivering projects across commercial and public-sector estates. Its portfolio spans electrical and mechanical installations, service and maintenance, testing and compliance, and low-carbon technologies.

Working within the Service & Maintenance Division—formerly minor works—you’ll coordinate engineers and subcontractors, maintain strong client relationships and ensure every job is delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive electrical professional who enjoys managing multiple projects, supporting a team and responding quickly to customers’ changing needs. You may already be an experienced Contracts or Project Manager, or you may be looking to progress from a hands-on electrical role into contract management.

    WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

    * Take ownership of a busy and varied portfolio of electrical projects.

    * Manage a team of engineers, coordinating workloads and supporting effective delivery.

    * Join an established M&E and renewable energy business working across commercial and public-sector environments.

    * Enjoy a varied role combining project management, client liaison, technical input and commercial responsibility.

    * Make a visible impact on the performance and continued development of a priority division within the business.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    * Manage electrical minor works and maintenance projects from enquiry to handover.

    * Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and daily workloads across multiple live jobs.

    * Respond to defects, client requests and changing priorities quickly and professionally.

    * Prepare surveys, quotations, variations, RAMS and project documentation.

    * Monitor project costs, profitability, invoicing, quality and compliance.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    * Experience managing electrical minor works, service or maintenance contracts.

    * A strong electrical background with sound technical and compliance knowledge.

    * Proven ability to coordinate engineers, subcontractors and multiple projects.

    * Commercial experience covering quotations, variations, invoicing and cost control.

    * A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach with strong communication skills.

    WHAT YOU’LL GET

    * Excellent salary, benefits and company car or car allowance.

    * Responsibility for a priority area of the business, with the opportunity to make the role your own.

    * A varied and autonomous position covering estimating, project delivery, team coordination and client management.

    * The opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial and public-sector projects.

    * A long-term career with an established business operating across M&E, maintenance and renewable energy.
