How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Contracts Manager

    LOCATION: Hull & Yorkshire
    SALARY: Excellent + Company Car

GW Power is recruiting a Contracts Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio of mechanical and electrical projects.
The Contracts Manager will oversee between two and five live projects, typically valued from £100,000 upwards.
As Contracts Manager, you’ll lead each contract from initial handover through to completion, the defects liability period and final retention.
This Contracts Manager opportunity would suit an experienced professional who can control programme, cost, quality and contractual risk across multiple projects.

GW Power is an established M&E, renewable technologies, maintenance and decarbonisation provider delivering projects across commercial and public-sector estates. Its portfolio spans electrical and mechanical installations, service and maintenance, testing and compliance, and low-carbon technologies.

Reporting to the Contracts Director, you’ll work collaboratively with GW Power’s mechanical, electrical and commercial teams. You’ll coordinate engineers, subcontractors, designers and suppliers to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently and commercially.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who understands how to keep multiple projects moving, communicate confidently with clients and maintain close control of every aspect of project delivery.

    WHY THIS ROLE STANDS OUT

    *

Take ownership of varied projects from handover through to final retention.

    *

Manage projects valued from approximately £100,000 upwards.

    *

Lead delivery across programme, budget, quality and commercial performance.

    *

Work closely with mechanical, electrical and commercial teams.

    *

Enjoy an autonomous position with direct client and project responsibility.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    *

Manage the full contract lifecycle from handover through to completion.

    *

Monitor project programmes, budgets, specifications and delivery risks.

    *

Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and designers.

    *

Manage client communication, site progress, defects and project reporting.

    *

Control variations, costs, invoices, purchase orders and overall project performance.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    *

Experience managing construction contracts from initial handover through to completion.

    *

Ideally, a background in mechanical, electrical, combined M&E or building services projects.

    *

The ability to manage multiple contracts, priorities and deadlines.

    *

Sound commercial knowledge covering variations, costs and contractual risk.

    *

Strong project-planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.

    *

A proactive and confident approach to client and stakeholder management.

    WHAT YOU’LL GET

    *

Excellent salary, benefits and company car or car allowance.

    *

Ownership of a diverse portfolio of technically varied projects.

    *

A highly autonomous role spanning the full contract lifecycle.

    *

Support from experienced operational, commercial and engineering teams.

    *

A long-term career with an established business operating across M&E, maintenance and renewable energy.
