Job Description
As a Financial Controller, you will be extremely close to the business, constantly in dialogue with the major stakeholders in the company including the owner of the company. You will be responsible for treasury activities, financial controls, reporting, and conducting analyses to provide valuable insights for the board and all levels of the organisation. You will be part of a dynamic finance team, working alongside the CFO, Controlling Lead, and six controlling professionals. You will report directly to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage currency & cash flow, bank relationships, and documentary credit.
- Analyse company financial data, ensuring compliance with policies and identifying key insights.
- Perform (ad hoc) analyses, communicate findings, and discuss them with management and business partners.
- Oversee financial control, reporting, and analysis of (monthly) financial results.
- Support the preparation of annual accounts and interim financial statements.
- Assist in financial administration, including accounting for subsidiaries.
- Drive process and automation improvements within financial and business administration, including ERP system updates.
- Maintain and strengthen internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Provide proactive and strategic financial advice to optimise business performance.
The Successful Applicant
- A higher professional education (HBO) or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, or Finance & Control.
- Extensive experience (10-15 years) in financial and/or management accounting.
- Strong expertise in treasury and currency management.
- Experience in international trade and inventory management is a significant advantage.
- Strong affinity for information systems, automation, and process optimisation.
- Curious, proactive, and an effective communicator with strong persuasive and presentation skills.
- A dynamic team player with assertiveness, a positive attitude, and a proactive personality.
- Independent, commercially driven, adaptable, and able to balance decisiveness with humility.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
- Due to the entrepreneurial work environment, working in the office five days a week is mandatory.
