Our Finance & Control Assistant and/or "werkstudent" openingWe are looking for a proactive Finance & Control Assistant and or "werkstudent" to join our Utrecht office on a part-time basis. You will provide essential support to the Finance & Control team by contributing to the accounts receivable (AR) process of our business.
This is a hands‑on position for someone who has an eye for details, is organised and comfortable coordinating with colleagues across our 11 global offices to gather necessary data.
Key responsibilities- Prepare and issue invoices for various Group entities
- Send payment reminders and follow up on outstanding invoices, both internally and externally
- Maintain and update contracts within the billing system
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist with month‑end closing activities and financial reporting procedures
- Reconcile selected balance sheet accounts
- Contribute to the optimisation and improvement of internal financial processes
- Either a student or recent graduate in Accounting, or a related field, or
- An aspiring accounting professional looking for part‑time work, ideally with work experience in an SME environment
- Accounting basics: You have a basic understanding of accounting processes and enjoy working with numbers
- Organised & discreet: You are structured, process‑driven, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Clear communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Process improver: You are keen to help improve and automate internal finance processes
- Proactive team player: You enjoy working in a team, take initiative, and are a self‑starter
- Reliable: You take ownership of tasks and follow through, allowing the team to focus on broader priorities
- You will be directly working with Head of Finance & Control and can see how marketing operates in a global financial advisory firm

This position is to be filled on a minimum 6‑month contract on a part‑time basis (16‑24 hours/week), starting as soon as practicable.
