We are seeking a visionary Design Director to serve as one of the leaders of our design team, developing design solutions that span both 2D and 3D spaces. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional conceptual thinking abilities, a passion for design innovation balanced with practical implementation skills, the capacity to articulate design rationales with clarity and conviction towards our clients and a collaborative leadership style that inspires and elevates the work of the entire design team.
Responsibilities- Lead the conceptual development of design projects from ideation through execution
- Direct and mentor a team of designers across various disciplines
- Translate client needs and business objectives into compelling design solutions
- Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders with confidence and persuasiveness
- Drive projects forward, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals
- Establish and maintain design standards and methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity throughout all touchpoints
- Articulate the “why” behind design decisions, connecting creative choices to business objectives
- Think laterally across 2D and 3D design applications to create cohesive brand experiences across different mediums
- Exceptional portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving
- Strong background in graphic design fundamentals
- Proficiency with design software including Adobe Creative Suite, as well as with 3D design tools and CAD rendering software
- Awareness of current trends in AI as they relate to design and conceptual output
- Strong storytelling abilities to communicate design concepts effectively
- Experience leading and mentoring creative teams with clear guidance and communication
- Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to think strategically and translate business objectives into innovative design solutions
- Demonstrated success in managing complex design projects from concept to completion
- High level of curiosity and a drive to stay updated on industry and technological trends
- Pragmatic, self-driven and focussed on problem solving
