You’ll join our fast-growing Low-Code capability, with over 100 Mendix professionals across Europe – including 26 experts and 3 MVPs in the Netherlands alone. Our team works on high-impact projects for clients like IND/COA, Prorail, Defensie, BAM and Heineken, with a strong focus on collaboration, quality and long-term solutions. Many of our projects are international – such as our recent engagement in Denmark, where our hybrid team (NL, DK, KR) delivers scalable solutions from design to delivery. Tasks
What will you do?
As a Senior Mendix Consultant, you combine the role of consultant with that of an application developer. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary project or DevOps team with end-to-end responsibility for your applications and delivery.
You facilitate workshops to uncover client needs and translate them into high-impact IT solutions – from mobile apps to workflow systems and data-driven platforms. Throughout the process, you apply your platform knowledge and technical expertise to ensure quality and scalability.
You’ll increasingly help design solutions that leverage AI, integrations and smart automation to streamline business processes and unlock new value. You also support pre-sales efforts and coach junior consultants on their path to becoming experts.
You take ownership of complex challenges, contribute to design decisions, and help shape long-term platform architecture. As you grow, you’ll have the opportunity to develop towards lead, expert or principal roles – depending on your interests – whether that’s technical depth, mentorship or shaping strategic client engagements.
Among your responsibilities will be the following:
- Designing, developing and testing innovative Mendix solutions in an agile way.
- Coordinating with clients and end-users on specifications, design and final product.
- Taking a leading role in workshops, proof-of-concepts, innovative development projects or DevOps teams.
- Training and coaching of business consultants and junior developers in working with and applying the Mendix Platform.
Requirements
Experience:
- A completed Bachelor’s, Master’s or technical HBO degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematics or a related field;
- At least 2 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year as a low-code specialist, application developer or (IT) consultant;
- Nice to have: Certification in and/or hands-on experience with one or more major low-code platforms such as Mendix, OutSystems, Salesforce or Microsoft Power Platform
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Located in The Netherlands
