Join our team as a Data Scientist and play a key role in driving process optimization and delivering strategic insights for Finance. You will lead end‑to‑end data science projects, source and model data in Databricks, and develop innovative AI and machine learning solutions. As a Data Scientist, you work on data science projects that contribute to process optimization or provide strategic insights for Finance. You are responsible for sourcing, modeling, and analyzing data, as well as developing AI and machine‑learning models. Your contributions help advance the team and our capabilities.

In this role, you will:

• Source and model internal and external data in our Databricks environment
• Independently execute end‑to‑end data science projects, from data exploration to model development
• Maintain and develop data models used by the team
• Focus on quality monitoring to ensure reliable results
• Actively share your findings and approach with the team to keep everyone aligned

The Analytics & Innovation team is part of Finance Controlling and operates as a multidisciplinary, self‑organizing team. Our mission is to make the Controlling and Finance organization more data‑driven. We focus on three key areas:

• Data insights: We create new insights for Controllers and the Business they support. We identify new data sources, combine Finance and Business data, and apply (advanced) analytics techniques and models. With this, we support the transition from expert‑based to model‑based decision‑making.
• Process optimization: We continuously look for improvement opportunities in existing processes, both within Controlling and across Finance. We explore how new technologies, such as GenAI and LLMs can support the work of our colleagues.
• People & skills: We advise senior management on data opportunities, inspire and inform colleagues about new technologies, and help develop analytics skills across the organization.

• Strong programming skills (Python, PySpark, SQL) and experience with Databricks
• Demonstrated experience independently delivering data science projects
• Strong communication skills—you can clearly explain your work to colleagues
• Collaborative and goal-oriented, while also being independent and proactive
