Your Tasks
The Head of B2B Benelux is responsible for leading and steering the B2B organization across the Benelux, with a span of control of approximately 40 FTE. The role holds full P&L responsibility for the B2B business and is accountable for achieving agreed turnover, margin, profitability and EGT objectives. The role leads the multidisciplinary B2B HQ team, ensures strong alignment between commercial, operational and supporting functions, and drives sustainable and profitable growth across the B2B organization.
The international B2B strategy is translated into clear national and Benelux-specific priorities, with a strong focus on execution and commercial impact. Together with the CEO, the role drives sustainable and profitable growth across both active and passive B2B sales channels. A customer-oriented, entrepreneurial and performance-driven culture is fostered throughout the organization, with a clear focus on ownership, accountability and results.
A key responsibility is the continuous development of the B2B proposition and ensuring that the offering remains relevant to the needs of business customers. This includes assortment, services, pricing, marketing, CRM, systems and sales processes. New business opportunities, customer segments and strategic partnerships are identified and translated into concrete initiatives that contribute to profitable growth and increased customer value.
Sales performance, pipeline, conversion, profitability and customer activity are tracked through clear commercial targets and KPIs, with corrective actions initiated where required. Regular forecasts, business reviews and P&L performance reporting provide transparency on progress and enable timely decision-making.
Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential to the role. B2B managers and teams are developed and coached, while a clear organizational structure, ownership and accountability are established. Close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Services, IT and International B2B HQ ensures effective implementation of strategic initiatives and alignment across the organization.
Development and Implementation
- Implementation of international strategic pillars
- Implementation and development of relevant sales strategies
- Continuously developing the national B2B Solutions portfolio
- Implementation and continuous optimization of a relevant B2B assortment
- Build up relevant B2B services and end-to-end B2B solutions
- Ensure consistent and fast implementation of new strategies or services
Growth Focus
- Continuously coach B2B employees in 1:1 meetings, with a focus on portfolio growth and development
- Analyze the market situation in the country
- Ensure a yearly marketing plan
- Support B2B employees in defining sales, product and process/tool trainings to offer the best customer experience
- Recruitment of the B2B department and motivate the team and ensure a high level of satisfaction
Products, Solutions & Service Focus
- Focus the team on the full assortment (B2C and B2B) to create more relevance for MMS and our customers
- Focus the team on services and solutions sales to address customer demands and ensure we always sell and fulfill the right solutions for our customers
Your Profile
- Minimum 8+ years of commercial leadership experience
- Proven track record in sales leadership and P&L responsibility
- Experience in B2B, preferably in retail, wholesale, or solution-based environments
- Strong background in both strategic and operational execution
- Experience building or scaling commercial structures is a strong plus
- Fluent in Dutch & English is required, French is plus
- Willingness to travel frequently between Rotterdam and Brussels HQ and across B2B hubs within the Benelux
- Flexible mindset with availability for evening and occasional weekend commitments (e.g. Networking events, business clubs)
This position can be based in either the Netherlands or Belgium. The role is not tied to a fixed location and involves frequent travel. For this reason, the same position is also advertised in Belgium.
