Consultant at BCG Amsterdam
We are looking for Experienced professionals (4+ years of industry or consulting work experience) to join the Amsterdam team at consultant level. We recruit from a wide range of backgrounds and variety of industries. Becoming a successful consultant doesn’t mean you have to start your consulting career straight out of university.
Many BCG-ers kick-start their career in industry positions or research. As a lateral hire, you not only bring valuable experience to the table. You can even become a thought leader in your field, applying your expertise in many different industries. You can also decide to maintain a broader approach and join BCG as a generalist.

What You'll Do
As a Consultant at BCG, you’ll harness your expertise to drive projects, mentor colleagues, and drive strategic decisions. Your analytical foresight and drive will be pivotal in crafting innovative solutions and guiding clients through ground-breaking changes, ensuring project results go above and beyond. This role demands savviness in sophisticated analysis, clarity in communication, and a shown proficiency in steering project vision to completion.As part of the BCG’s Consulting staff, you will be a core member of our Amsterdam office working alongside some of the world’s top minds in strategy management consulting. You will advise clients on executive level across industries and topics supporting them to improve or transform their businesses and achieve excellence.

Application Steps
There are five steps in the application process. Please read the following instructions carefully and make sure you submit the correct documents on time. The interviews take place in a hybrid format. Which means you have both virtual and interviews face to face at the Amsterdam office.
Step 1: Online Application
For a complete application please provide the following documents:
- Resume
- High school transcripts
- Bachelor, Master certificates and lists of University grades.
- Cover letter (optional): It is not required to explain your motivation. If you wish to do so, you can use this cover letter to provide additional explanation about your profile and the provided documents.
Step 2: Online Assessment Environment
- The reasoning test is a virtual reasoning test in which you interpret graphs, draw quantitative conclusions based on available information and make calculations.
Step 3: First Round Interviews
The first round consists of two interviews:
- Two case interviews (60 min)
Step 4: Final Round Interviews
The final round consists of four interviews:
- A personality-based interview with a recruiter (45 min)
- Two case interviews (60 min)
- A written case (2,5h)
Step 5: Offer
Following this second round of interviews, we may decide to extend you an offer.
