Get a glimpse of the teamOn a daily basis you will be located at our Pluripharm office in Alkmaar and be part of the local IT team. At the same time, however, you will also work closely with IT Operations team in Denmark and report directly to the Head of IT Security & Compliance in Copenhagen. Although you are primarily dedicated to Pluripharm, you will be part and participate across all of Abacus Medicine Group. For that matter you will also travel to Denmark a few times a year.
Join our growing team as a Security Operations Specialist and help Abacus reach new heights in security and compliance! You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders, including IT Operations, Legal and others, to ensure seamless implementation and operation of security measures.
Your main responsibilities include- Managing the security stack; ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively by participating in identifying solutions to issues and helping to implement them.
- Implement and maintain security tools and technologies, including leading solutions for endpoint, cloud and identity protection.
- Monitor security alerts and incidents, and respond promptly to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with the IT Operations team to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide training and support to IT staff on security best practices and tools.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in IT operations, particularly on the Microsoft platform, including Azure.
- Interest in OT Security.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, preferably within the Microsoft Security application stack. (Microsoft Sentinel and the Defender product line).
- Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200) certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Speaking Dutch is a big plus.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured way of working.
- Ability to turn complex requirements and problems into actionable tasks and deliveries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Both a team player focus and the ability to be partially self‑governed. And open to travelling to Copenhagen a few times a year.
- A position for 32‑40 hours per week, with the possibility of hybrid working.
