IT Support Administrator (12 hr)

Then we are looking for you as our new IT Support Administrator.

As an IT Support Administrator at Conoship International…

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization’s IT systems and infrastructure together with one other IT administrator. You will play a part in the development of the IT infrastructure as well as the daily routines and helpdesk issues at hand.

Often the projects are at the forefront of technology, with a strong focus on emission reduction and sustainability. Besides ship design and engineering, Conoship International is strongly involved in research projects concerning alternative fuels and sustainable shipping with the aim of using these results in new designs and products. The results of our research have already led to the launch of successful start-ups.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• You will provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to our internal teams in Groningen, Rotterdam, and Gdansk on IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network problems.
• You will install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.
• You will manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies and security standards.
• You will monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of IT systems, servers, and networks.
• You will implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure data security and system integrity.
• You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades and enhancements.
• You will document IT support activities, resolutions, and configurations to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• You will assist in the planning, deployment, and management of IT projects and initiatives.
• You will provide training and guidance to end-users on IT tools, systems, and procedures.

Who Are You?

Please note: you must be an EU national or must possess the right to work in the Netherlands currently.

• You have a work and intellectual level of MBO or HBO.
• You have at least two years of relevant working experience.
• You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT issues.
• You can work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• You are a team player with an enthusiastic and quality-oriented attitude.
• You have good communication skills in English and preferably also in Dutch.

You have a good basic understanding of these concepts:

• VMWare ESXI
• Linux (RHEL) and the most commonly used tools such as OpenSSH, Rsync, Samba
• TCP/IP Networking and firewall rules
• OpenVPN access server
• Microsoft365
