For one of our clients, we are looking for a Mechanical Product Development Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of high‑quality consumer and medical‑related products for mass production.
You will join a large, multidisciplinary Mechanical Engineering team within an international R&D organization. The team culture is inclusive, open, and results‑driven, with a strong focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing, and celebrating success together. Engineers work closely with system architects, manufacturing, procurement, and test & validation teams to bring innovative concepts from idea to industrialization. This role offers the opportunity to combine creativity with technical rigor in a fast‑paced, agile development environment.
Your Responsibilities- Design and detail mechanical components and systems in line with product requirements, including calculations and predictive analyses
- Select appropriate materials (plastics and metals) and manufacturing processes, applying Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles
- Develop and maintain 3D and 2D designs, prototypes, and technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle
- Lead DFMEAs, manage requirements, and work according to the V‑model development methodology
- Define and execute test protocols, analyze results, and contribute to verification and validation activities
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (systems, manufacturing, procurement, test & validation) in an agile environment
- Capture, document and reuse technical knowledge, including maintaining design files and evidence documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in mechanical product development for mass production
- Strong experience with 3D CAD tools (Siemens NX and/or CREO) and mechanical design of plastic and/or metal parts
- Hands‑on mindset with the ability to drive concepts to functional prototypes
- Solid analytical skills, including experience with FEA/CFD tools (e.g. Ansys) and engineering calculations
- A proactive, quality‑driven team player with strong communication skills
