The Role
As a Prepper/Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and refinishing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming.
* Mix and apply paint using modern spray-painting equipment.
* Carry out paint refinishing and polishing to manufacturer standards.
* Perform colour matching to achieve a flawless finish.
* Inspect completed work to ensure excellent quality.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
* Work collaboratively with technicians and workshop staff to meet production targets.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper and/or Painter within an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
* Excellent knowledge of vehicle preparation and paint application techniques.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
* Advantageous: Candidates who hold an NVQ or IMI level 3
* Full UK driving licence preferred.
