Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor – Maths and English
Location: Centre based
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (Depending on skills and experience)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Essential Criteria:
Hold - or be willing to work towards - a Level 5 Teaching qualification.
Experience of delivering Functional Skills Maths OR English up to Level 2.
Must hold own Level 3 qualification in Maths and/or English.
Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners
Strong admin skills (ILPs, progress tracking and monitoring) Duties:
Deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths and/or English sessions within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
