Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Activities Coordinator based in Morden South London. The Activities Coordinator will plan, organize, and lead engaging activities tailored to the residents' interests and abilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing recreational programs, coordinating events, supporting residents in social and therapeutic activities, and liaising with team members and families to ensure meaningful participation. The role emphasizes fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment for all residents.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, staff, and families
- Experience in training and facilitating activities for diverse groups
- Knowledge and understanding of elder care and mental health needs
- Ability to organize and oversee fundraising and community engagement initiatives
- Compassionate and patient attitude toward residents
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in activity coordination or elder care are beneficial
