Account Manager – Creative and Marketing Agency
Are you an agency-side Account Executive ready to step up into an Account Manager role, or an experienced Account Manager looking for a broader client services opportunity in a creative and marketing agency? We’re looking for a commercially minded, highly organised Account Manager who can act as the day-to-day link between clients and the agency, helping to shape briefs, nurture relationships and bring creative ideas to life.
What We’re Looking For
This Account Manager position would suit someone with solid agency experience who understands how good client relationships work: listening carefully, asking the right questions, spotting creative opportunities and helping clients feel valued at every stage. You’ll be confident managing client relationships, translating business or marketing challenges into clear agency briefs and working with internal teams to create thoughtful, effective work.
* Proven experience as an Account Manager, Account Executive or in an agency-side client services role, ideally within a creative, branding, advertising or integrated marketing agency
* The ability to take, interrogate and shape client briefs, then translate them into clear direction for creative, strategy-led, digital and production team members
* Confidence managing day-to-day client communication, status updates, timings, budgets, feedback and approvals
* A good understanding of brand, campaign, content, digital, social and integrated marketing delivery
* Commercial awareness, including an understanding of estimates, scopes, profitability, supplier costs and the importance of managing changes clearly
You don’t need to know everything, but you should already have a strong grounding in agency account management and a genuine enthusiasm for great creative work. As an Account Manager, you’ll understand the value of a sharp brief, the importance of thoughtful client service and the satisfaction that comes from helping shape work that clients are proud of and audiences respond to.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Account Manager, you’ll help manage a portfolio of client accounts and projects, acting as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients while working closely with senior client services, strategy, creative, digital, production and finance teams. From developing briefs and preparing estimates to coordinating feedback, supporting presentations and helping keep work on track, you’ll play a key role in making sure clients feel looked after and the agency delivers creative work with purpose, impact and craft.
* Managing day-to-day client communication, meetings, contact reports, status updates and next actions
* Writing or shaping creative briefs and ensuring internal teams have the clarity they need to deliver strong work
* Preparing estimates, tracking budgets, flagging scope changes and supporting accurate billing or reconciliation
* Presenting work, gathering feedback and helping clients make confident decisions
* Spotting opportunities to add value, grow accounts and support proposals or pitches where needed
* Creative campaigns and brand communications
* Print, literature and sales support materials
* Digital marketing, websites and content-led projects
* Social media and campaign activation
* Branding, positioning and pitch or proposal support
* Experiential, events or wider integrated marketing activity
