Pay: £15.82 – £17.85 per hour PAYE, depending on experience
Lynx Employment Services are recruiting for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a busy Social Care and Education legal team in Solihull.
This is a part-time position working three days per week, Wednesday to Friday, supporting solicitors across childcare, adult social care and education matters.
### The Role
You will provide legal and administrative support to solicitors, helping with case preparation, documentation and the effective management of a busy caseload.
Duties will include:
Supporting solicitors with childcare, adult social care and education matters
Drafting legal documents, correspondence and case-related paperwork
Assisting with preparation for family proceedings and court matters
Maintaining accurate case files and records
Managing deadlines and ensuring documentation is completed accurately and on time
Liaising professionally with clients, courts, legal professionals and other stakeholders
Using case management systems and Microsoft Office
Handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately
### Essential Requirements
Candidates must have:
Experience working in a legal, family law or social care legal environment
A qualifying law degree or Graduate Diploma in Law/Legal Practice qualification, OR substantial experience within the childcare legal sector
Knowledge of childcare law, family proceedings and court processes
Experience drafting legal documents and correspondence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
High levels of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
This would particularly suit a Legal Assistant, Legal Support Officer, Paralegal or experienced Childcare/Family Law Legal Assistant looking for a part-time public-sector legal assignment.
