The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Engineering Manager to join a growing EMEA team delivering complex energy infrastructure projects. This role focuses on Electrical Grid, Substation, and Battery Energy Storage System developments across Medium and High Voltage networks.
You will play a key role in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams, managing project delivery, and interfacing directly with clients to ensure the successful execution of technically demanding projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate engineering delivery across multiple projects of varying size and complexity
Manage project budgets, schedules, and technical outputs
Act as the primary technical interface with clients, managing scope changes and project requirements
Provide technical leadership and guidance on engineering standards, design practices, and compliance
Oversee and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians
Support business development activities, including proposals and client engagement
Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Drive project performance, quality, and timely delivery
Skills & Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
Significant industry experience
Proven expertise in substation design and electrical infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of:
UK Grid Code
TSO/DNO requirements
UK power utilities landscape
Demonstrated experience in project execution and delivery ownership
Ability to confidently engage with clients on technical matters
Strong knowledge of Medium and High Voltage network design principles
Understanding of construction, procurement, and contract management
Experience with project controls, estimating, and proposal development
Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams
