Typical project values range from £1m to £5m.
About the Opportunity
Due to a growing workload and a strong pipeline of secured projects, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a commercial and education project based in Solihull.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in groundworks and civil engineering who enjoys leading teams, managing programmes and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of groundworks and civil engineering projects
* Leading Site Managers, Engineers, Foremen and subcontractors
* Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
* Monitoring project progress and reporting to senior management
* Managing client, consultant and stakeholder relationships
* Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
* Driving quality standards across all site activities
* Identifying project risks and implementing practical solutions
* Working closely with the commercial team to achieve project objectives
About the Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Project Manager within the UK groundworks and civil engineering sector
* Experience delivering commercial, education or public sector projects
* Strong technical understanding of groundworks, drainage and reinforced concrete works
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and site teams
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (preferred)
