How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An award winning nursery chain located in Solihull, renowned for providing an exceptional, nurturing environment where children thrive, are growing their team and we are supporting them to find the perfect Level 3 Nursery Room Supervisor.

    The nursery believe in empowering their staff, fostering career growth, and delivering top-tier early years education. They are currently seeking an inspiring, hands-on leader to guide their talented room team.

    As a Nursery Room Supervisor, you will lead your designated room to ensure the highest standards of care and education. You will model exceptional practice, mentor room practitioners, oversee daily planning, and ensure full compliance with the Ofsted Early Years Inspection Framework.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire room staff, ensuring effective deployment and high morale.

    - Educational Quality: Oversee the implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring high-quality, engaging activities.

    - Child Development: Act as a Key Person while tracking and monitoring overall room tracking and assessments.

    - Parent Partnerships: Lead parent-teacher meetings and maintain excellent, transparent daily communication.

    - Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety, hygiene, and hygiene, and safeguarding regulations.

    Room Management: Oversee daily routines, transitions, and staff lunches to ensure smooth operations.

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    - Qualification: Minimum Full and Relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (e.g., Early Years Educator) and a Paediatric First Aid certificate

    - Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or Third in Charge.

    - Knowledge: Expert understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding legislation, and Ofsted requirements.

    - Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, support, and motivate a small team of educators.
