Role Overview
Stafforce are currently seeking reliable and adaptable Machine Operatives to join our clients team based in Barnsley.
This role involves operating a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, alongside supporting general production duties. It is ideal for someone hands-on, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently
Carrying out a range of general production and operational duties as required
Assisting with the setup and running of machines
Performing basic quality checks on finished products
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with company procedures
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Supporting the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks
Requirements
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not essential
Comfortable working with machinery or willing to be trained
Good attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality work
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, flexible, and a good team player
Desirable (Not Essential)
Full UK driving licence
FLT (Forklift Truck) experience or licence
Willingness to undertake training, including FLT if required
Full training provided, including machine operation
