Are you an experienced clinical leader with a passion for delivering exceptional care? We're looking for a dedicated Deputy Manager (Clinical) to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care.
In this key position, you will support the Home Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the service, providing strong clinical leadership and ensuring our care meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.
What you'll do
Provide clinical leadership to nursing and care teams, ensuring person‑centred care that promotes dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
Support the Home Manager in delivering safe and effective care in line with CQC standards and company policies.
Take responsibility for clinical governance and service management in the Home Manager's absence.
Mentor, supervise, and support nurses and care staff to develop their skills and confidence.
Conduct clinical audits, oversee medication management, and ensure accurate documentation and record keeping.
Lead on care planning, risk assessments, pre‑admission assessments, and ongoing evaluations of residents' needs.
Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Skills and attributes we're looking for
Previous experience as a Deputy Home Manager.
Strong ability to engage with residents and understand their individual needs.
Confident in identifying safeguarding concerns and referral pathways.
Excellent working knowledge of CQC standards.
Ability to build positive relationships with families, professionals, visitors, and staff.
Commitment to involving residents and families in developing and evaluating personalised care plans.
Education and qualifications
NMC Registered Nurse (essential) with relevant clinical experience.
