How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

* Supporting the development of Schemes of Work and creating engaging learning resources.

* Providing technical guidance on apprenticeship standards and vocational qualifications.

* Keeping colleagues informed of sector developments and changes to apprenticeship standards.

* Quality assuring workshop delivery through observations, learner interviews and portfolio sampling.

* Working closely with Quality, Curriculum and End Point Assessment teams to ensure learners successfully progress through Gateway and End Point Assessment.

* Supporting self-assessment activities, quality improvement planning and inspection readiness.

* Providing Information, Advice and Guidance to learners and stakeholders.

* Promoting safeguarding, learner wellbeing and GDPR compliance across all areas of delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

* Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.

* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to motivate and inspire others.

* A commitment to continuous professional development and raising standards.

* Flexibility to travel where required.

Essential qualifications:

* Vocational qualification at Level 3, 4 or 5 (relevant sector).

* Assessor qualification (AVA or equivalent).

* Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent.

* Level 2 English and Maths.
