How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Employability Practitioner Tutor
    This is for Employability Practitioner level 4
    Permanent role
    Home based role and then some travel to Walsall and Staffordshire for sector meetings once every 2 months – mileage paid
    Looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Employability Practitioner Apprenticeship Tutor to join the growing team. Committed to helping people develop skills, confidence and behaviours needed to thrive in the workplace, this is your chance to make a real impact.
    Duties
    * Deliver engaging, structured learning sessions aligned to the employability practitioner apprenticeship standard.
    * Provide one to one coaching online and some in small groups online.
    * Mentoring and support tailored to the learners needs.
    * Dealing with learners who work mainly as coaches with challenging caseloads, careers advisors, case workers, IAG advisors
    * Prepare learners for end point assessment
    * Use a range of digital tools and platforms to deliver blended learning
    * Track learner progress, set clear targets and maintain records
    * Build strong relationships with employers to support workplace development and on the job learning
    * Ensure all delivery meets quality, compliance, and safeguarding expectations
    Experience essential for this role.
    * Must be able to travel to Walsall and Staffordshire once every 2 months – mileage paid
    * A recognised teaching, assessing, or coaching qualification or a willingness to work towards one
    * Experience working as an Employability practitioner or employment Advisor, Careers Coach, or similar role
    * A recognised level 4 or equivalent in information advice and guidance (IAG)
    * Would accept level 3 IAG or equivalent
    Salary/hours:
    £28,000 per annum
    Working Monday to Thursday 8.45am – 5pm and Friday 8.45am – 4pm. 45 minutes lunch break each day.
