How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently seeking passionate and motivated Hybrid Tutor Assessors to join our growing team.


    Position Details

    Role: Hybrid Tutor Assessor (Level 2/3)

    Location:

    • Hertfordshire (Watford, St Albans)

    Working Pattern: Hybrid (Online delivery with face-to-face learner engagement where required)

    Salary: £26,000 - £35,000 per annum Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience.

    About the Role

    As a Hybrid Tutor Assessor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting learners to achieve their qualifications while developing the confidence, behaviours, and employability skills required for the workplace.

    You will plan, deliver, and assess engaging learning programmes, ensuring learners develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to meet curriculum learning outcomes. Using a learner-centred approach, you will motivate, coach, and inspire individuals from diverse backgrounds to achieve their goals and progress into further education, training, or employment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment for Level 2 and Level 3 programmes.
    • Plan engaging and effective learning sessions that meet curriculum objectives.
    • Assess learner competence and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
    • Monitor learner achievement and maintain accurate assessment records.
    • Support learners in developing employability and essential soft skills.
    • Encourage learner engagement, retention, and successful completion of programmes.
    • Maintain compliance with awarding organisation and quality assurance requirements.
    • Provide pastoral support and signpost learners to additional services where required.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve positive learner outcomes.
    • Embed safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion into all aspects of delivery.

    Essential Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will hold:

    • Level 3 Assessor Qualification (A1 or equivalent).
    • Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (or equivalent teaching qualification).
    • Current Safeguarding Certificate.
    • Relevant occupational competency and experience within the subject area being delivered.
