Logistic Employee
Job Description
As a Logistic Employee, you will work in a warehouse or distribution centre. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that goods are correctly received, stored, processed and shipped.
Your work will be varied. You will pick orders using a handheld scanner, check and prepare products for shipment, and assist with loading and unloading trucks and pallets. You will also check and process inventory and work with various logistics systems, such as WMS or SAP.
You will help ensure that the warehouse remains clean, organised and safe. When necessary, you will also support other departments. Depending on the location and activities, you may work with a pallet truck or electric pallet truck (EPT), and you may work in shifts.
Main Responsibilities
- Picking orders using a handheld scanner.
- Checking, packing and preparing products for shipment.
- Loading and unloading trucks and pallets.
- Checking and processing stock and inventory.
- Working with logistics systems such as WMS or SAP.
- Maintaining order, cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
- Supporting colleagues and other departments when required.
