As TSIT Netherlands B.V. continues its steady growth in bonded logistics, we are looking for a Senior Customs Declaration Specialist to join our customs team in Netherlands. Responsibilities:
· Coordination of customs clearance and preparation of customs documents for EU and non-EU countries. Serve as the internal contact for customs-related inquiries; analyze and adjust internal customs and foreign trade procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of deferred customs clearance (T1/T2-supported transport, forwarding to inland customs offices, subsequent customs declaration and tax processing).
- Preparation of customs documents in accordance with current customs regulations and country-specific requirements; close coordination with outbound logistics, customer service, and sales.
· Monitor and optimize internal customs processes while ensuring compliance with customs regulations and internal compliance guidelines.
- Make the appropriate applications to grow our customs department’s capabilities.
- Coaching and mentoring your team members.
Requirements
- Possesses at least 3-5 years of proven experience in customs clearance and a solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Works extremely accurately, maintains an overview, and can prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and analytical skills, high numerical aptitude, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with a customs software, preferably Softpak.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
