Job DescriptionStep into a position where finance drives strategy, not just reporting. We're looking for a proactive Financial Controller to join our growing international team - a unique opportunity to help shape and scale the finance function at a fast-moving technology company.
You'll gain broad exposure across the full finance spectrum, from daily operations to automation and strategic projects, collaborating directly with the Finance Lead, CFO, and company founders on initiatives that define how we scale globally.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate audits (statutory, group, and control-focused) and assist in designing and documenting internal controls.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting to investors.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and maintain accounting records and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Work with external accountants on compliance, payroll, and tax filings across multiple regions.
- Prepare and review payment runs, including payroll support.
- Support the setup and ongoing operations of new international entities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Product, and Engineering to strengthen financial controls and compliance frameworks.
You're a finance professional with a strong audit or accounting background, eager to grow beyond traditional reporting and learn how a modern finance function operates at scale. You'll be a great fit if you:
- Have 3-6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or audit (Big 4 experience is a plus).
- Hold a relevant degree or certification (e.g. Master's in Finance/Accounting, CPA, ACA, CA(SA)).
- Understand core accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS).
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and confident working with spreadsheets and finance tools.
- Communicate effectively in English and enjoy working with international teams.
- Thrive on improving processes, building scalable systems, and creating structure in a fast-paced environment.
