You program applications for or together with customers.

1. 30% Commercial activities to land new projects for the consultancy team.
2. 10% Project management, you ensure that the projects run smoothly in terms of planning, budget and scope.
3. 10% Consultancy work. Advising customers with out of the ordinary use cases, helping a customer to increase adoption on the built applications, support the sales team in meetings with potential customers, etc. Very varied, often customer facing, always challenging.
4. 10% Internal meetings and personal development.

VIKTOR empowers engineers to build and share applications that improve their productivity, knowledge sharing and their impact on the physical world around us. We are on a mission to unleash the world’s engineering potential. For example, a customer uses VIKTOR to design the longest immersed tunnel in the world, another one to optimize the design of wind turbine foundations. The users of the platform are engineers of big contractors and engineering firms like BAM, Heijmans and Arcadis. The applications that our users build on the platform have a major impact on their operation, for example large savings on CO2, material or costs.

As a consultant, your goal is to help the customer build an application that really benefits him and that makes a real impact.

You are mainly focused on running projects and business development. You program yourself or you help customers with programming through co-development or training.

In addition to this, you have a lot of customer contact. You advise the customer substantively, you provide support if they have questions, you help increase adoption of their applications and you keep them up to date on all developments.

Your profile

You have an engineering background so that you can quickly understand the customer.

You have good Python coding skills so that you can quickly create your first app.

You are strong in project management and planning.

You are eager to learn. We have customers in a variety of fields, so you like to delve into different technical topics.

You communicate clearly and advise convincingly.

You live in the Netherlands and enjoy working from our office in Rotterdam at least a few days a week.

You speak fluent English and Dutch is strongly preferred.

As a consultant you are in contact with a lot of different people. You advise clients on how to build apps, gather product feedback during your projects or you're building a nice app yourself. These projects vary greatly in scope: one day you could be working on structural calculations for an immersed tunnel and the next day you're working on a bridge monitoring project. This versatility makes sure that you keep learning new things.

5. 2nd Job Interview: Nice skills! We are happy to have a second interview where we go deeper into the content of the position.
