For our Central Post office in the center of Rotterdam, we are looking for a highly commercial and hands-on multi-site Planner!
Location: Central Post Rotterdam, The Netherlands
This role offers you a unique opportunity to become part of our planning team and to work within an international environment. Our open role will be mainly based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Together with planners from other locations, you make sure that Olenex delivers the products at the desired level of quality and quantity by using our resources in the most efficient way.
Within this role you will translate our customer demands into a production planning. While doing this you are in contact with various departments, such as Production, Customer Service, Inbound/Outbound logistics and PLM. You will coordinate the production capacity of the plant with production management, adjust planned quantities and priorities accordingly.
Your responsibilities are:
- Daily quantity control and plan stock movements of raw materials, intermediate products a/o packed and bulk oils, packaging materials and by-products with optimized storage utilization;
- Create and publish optimal daily schedule and instructions for production;
- Work closely with Customer Service and Logistics team to resolve product supply and delivery issues and ensure optimal efficiencies and synergies;
- Manage additive a/o packaging material demand planning and call off contracts at suppliers via Production Assistant;
- Coordinate with production/quality department for trials/tests;
- Liaise with Maintenance - and Production department on periodic repair and maintenance activity windows for storage and production equipment to realize reliable and appropriate planning;
- Keep track of production progress and planning related indicators, seek continuous improvements;
- Clear communication to relevant departments (Inbound/Outbound logistics, CS, PLM, etc);
- Clear communication about supply chain status to production team;
- In the event of leave and/or absence, Planner will completely replace Production Planner VP or Production Planner Zaandam.
Who are you?
To excel in this role, you should demonstrate a hands-on and problem-solving way of working. Besides that, you are stress resistant and a strong communicator. In addition, you have:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in logistics or related field;
- Education and training according to training matrix;
- Proficient in English and Dutch, German is a plus;
- Proficient in MS Office and planning software.
