What you will be doingOne of the core assets of Vesper as a commodity intelligence product is our set of proprietary pricing benchmarks. These are the so‑called Vesper Price Indices. They include prices for all relevant products in dairy (e.g., butter, mozzarella) and vegetable oil (e.g., rapeseed, soybean). These prices are created by a two‑step process: 1) gathering input from our customers and partners and 2) applying our methodology to these inputs to determine one price. That’s where you come in as a Data/Price Analyst! You are responsible to oversee and orchestrate this process.
As a Price Analyst, you are responsible for publishing our Vesper Price Indices for all commodities on a daily/weekly basis. This includes managing the automatic input gathering from our customers and partners and a third party for processing the inputs, so we can create our benchmark prices.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Guiding customers, partners and other third parties in sending their pricing inputs correctly and in a timely manner
- Managing third parties to extract the relevant data from our inputs
- Monitoring and analysing the correctness of the data inputs, understanding when inputs are potentially out of line
- Reaching out to existing or onboarding new customers and partners
- Identify ways to improve the pricing process
- A structured way‑of‑working with an eye for precision/accuracy
- A drive to steer and manage your work independently
- A communication style that is clear and assertive to facilitate optimal collaboration with customers and third parties
- A high standard of reliability to ensure that our pricing processes run smoothly
- A high school diploma at HAVO/VWO
