As Supplier Relationship & Third‑Party Risk Manager, you will strengthen how MSIG Europe manages supplier relationships, vendor performance and third‑party risk across the organization. Reporting to the Head of Procurement in the Netherlands, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of the supplier governance and Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework in a highly regulated international insurance environment. You will act as a trusted procurement advisor and commercial partner to the business, ensuring supplier resilience, regulatory compliance and long‑term value creation.
Responsibilities- Develop and continuously improve the supplier relationship management and third‑party risk framework across MSIG Europe.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to align procurement objectives with business needs.
- Act as a procurement advisor and commercial partner on third‑party spend, supplier performance and risk‑related matters.
- Contribute to the Procurement strategy with a focus on supplier resilience, risk‑informed sourcing and long‑term value creation.
- Ensure the Procurement Framework is understood, adopted and implemented across the organization.
- Establish and maintain governance processes for critical suppliers and contracts.
- Create and manage supplier scorecards, KPIs, dashboards and performance reporting.
- Lead Quarterly Service Reviews (QSRs) and annual executive supplier meetings.
- Identify supplier performance gaps and drive ServiceImprovement Plans where needed.
- Influence supplier performance through effective negotiation, constructive challenge and contractual management.
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, Cyber Security, Information Security and vendor managers to assess supplier risks and address performance concerns.
- Coordinate Third‑Party Risk Management activities across departments and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Manage regulatory reporting obligations related to critical vendors, including interactions with regulators such as the NBB.
- Maintain and update risk assessment methodologies and templates to align with evolving regulatory requirements, including DORA.
- Monitor external market developments and emerging risks related to third‑party contracting.
- Support the adoption of procurement technologies, analytics and best‑practice procurement processes.
- Take ownership of procurement projects and initiatives as assigned by the Head of Procurement.
- Contribute to cross‑border procurement initiatives and support organisational change efforts.
- Proven experience in Supplier Relationship Management, Procurement, Vendor Management or Third‑Party Risk Management.
- Experience within highly regulated industries such as insurance, banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of third‑party risk, supplier governance and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of European regulatory frameworks, including DORA, is considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills across all organisational levels, including executive leadership.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to challenge constructively and negotiate effectively.
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance cost, risk, resilience and long‑term value.
- Affinity with legal and contractual aspects of supplier management and the ability to translate business needs into contractual frameworks.
- Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and evolving environment while driving best practices.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
- Fluent in English; Dutch, French or German are considered an advantage.
