In the Royal IHC Project Management Office we raise the level of Project Management within Royal IHC.
Within Royal IHC the Project Management Office (PMO) is the recognized expert, that drives World-Class Project Management. In this way PMO is the competence owner of state-of-the-art project methodologies.
As a Project Management Officer, your job will consist out two main activities:
- Maintain and Improve the Project Management Method
Within Royal IHC we work with our own developed IHC Project Management method. The Project Management Office (PMO) contributes to the implementation, assurance and development of the IHC Project Management method and the associated processes and control tools.
As Senior PMO Business Partner you will advise and support the Project Managers and Project Teams in using this method and tools. Since you are "in the field", you can hear and see how the method works in practice and how effective and efficient the use is. We strive for operational excellence. Therefore, you are continuously alert for improvement opportunities. You also contribute to efficient and effective collaboration, both within the FD Project Management and between other Product Market Groups, Functional and Corporate Disciplines.
- (Assistant) Project Manager
In the role of PMO, you have the opportunity to get to know the whole product portfolio from Royal IHC. From custom build dredger till the activities within our Defense department. Depending on your experience and ambition, this role allows you to start managing (small) projects yourself. As department, we want to use the PMO as stepping stone to develop you in to a Project Manager over time.
As a Senior PMO Business Partner you have a direct report to the Director of the FD Project Management. Together, you determine the strategy of the PMO department and focus areas for the upcoming year(s).
Your profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic proactive candidate with technical and business knowledge. Someone who will focus on the process-based "hard" side of organizational development (processes, tools and data), but who also understands and is interested in the "human side" of organizational change. You are able to switch between abstract and detail level, which makes it easy to link and to filter the essence of information. You are able to create a long term vision for the PMO department and you have the ability to guide and develop Junior PMO Business Partners .
In addition, you are persistent and able to handle resistance.
To be eligible for the role of PMO Business Partner, you must have the following:
a bachelor's or master degree in a technical or business direction
experience in Project Management and business processes in a technical environment
experience in Shipbuilding is a pre
excellent digital skills
excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
