WSP is wide-scale engineering firm focused on infrastructure, transport, environment, energy and buildings. We are expanding the EMC team in Power and Energy and currently seek an Electrical Engineer - EMC based in Arnhem.

Responsibilities- Prepare complex proposals for various EMC studies for different stakeholders.
- Plan, cost and effort estimation for projects.
- Execute a project from start to finish with a detailed understanding of EMC interfaces to and from the high-voltage network.
- Carry out detailed studies on the influence of high-voltage cables/lines on nearby conductive objects such as water and gas pipelines.
- Investigate the influence of a solar park on nearby conductive objects such as water and gas pipelines.
- Study the influence of high-voltage connections (lines and cables) on the functionality of the rail system.
- Participate in knowledge development by sharing new results and developing calculation tools.
- Coordinate with team members and oversee project schedules to ensure high-quality results.
- Participate in internal research projects to improve processes.
- Demonstrate ingenuity, foresight and prudent decision-making to proactively identify and solve challenges.
- Contribute to the advancement of departmental support programs and workflows aimed at improving design processes, specification development and project implementation.
- Join training sessions and meetings on organizational initiatives.
The EMC team works within the Power and Energy department. It is a highly specialized team with 10 colleagues. We are a leader in the Netherlands for this specialty with strong opportunities for growth and development. The team values teamwork and an excellence-driven mindset.
What we look for- Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering (engineering/physics/mathematics interests are also welcome).
- Very good command of Dutch, spoken and written.
- Go-getter; ability to switch between projects.
- Affinity with programs such as AutoCAD, QGIS, Python is a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Methodical and analytical work approach in a quantitative problem-solving environment with critical thinking.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrates diligence, facilitation, team-building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving abilities.
