Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Atlassian is looking for experienced and talented engineers to join our team. This product team is looking for innovative front-end developers to help us build for the future. You'll be responsible for the design, build, and maintenance of new product features for Jira Product Discovery. This is a role with broad technical responsibilities with a greenfield project.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Previously worked across multiple codebases when delivering features
Knowledge to evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer value
Experience in taking ownership of features on small projects
A champion of practices like continuous delivery and feature flagging
U.S. Bachelor or higher degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management or a closely related field of study.
It’s awesome, but not required if you have:
2+ years of industry experience as a Software Engineer
Experience with writing and maintaining cypress tests
Experience with working in a new product or startup environment
Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., XP, scrum)
