About the role
Join our dynamic team as a Front Office Agent Intern in the heart of Amsterdam, Netherlands! We're looking for enthusiastic individuals with a hospitality DNA eager to kick-start their career in the hospitality industry. As a Front Office Agent Intern, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their stay is nothing short of exceptional from check-in to check-out.
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage the check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and courteously
- Assist with room reservations and modifications
- Handle basic administrative tasks, including data entry and report generation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Learn and operate hotel management software systems
- Assist in handling guest complaints and escalate when necessary
- Currently pursuing an MBO or HBO degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related field (the internship needs to be a mandatory part of your program)
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and professional attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office suite
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Basic understanding of hotel operations is a plus
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch or other languages is an advantage
- Enthusiasm for learning and growing in the hospitality industry
