Our Company

We are an established Indian restaurant located at Rokin 107, 1012KN Amsterdam. Since 1988, we have specialized in authentic Indian cuisine and are located in the heart of Amsterdam. We offer specially prepared vegetarian dishes, specifically for our vegetarian customers. We have a friendly and close-knit team of colleagues.

Tasks

The Role: Independent working chef -I

• As a chef with us, you safeguard the quality and authenticity of our dishes and combine tradition with modern presentation.

Job Description and Tasks: From our new colleague, we expect that he/she will:

• Prepares the ingredients for the dishes and assess the quality of the products/ingredients.
• Applies basic cooking techniques, prepares and presents dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
• Carries out preparatory work (cutting, mixing, etc.) and intermediate quality controls.
• Is responsible for inventory and order management, and keeping the kitchen and equipment clean.
• Professionally supervises assistant(s) and provides input regarding the composition and modification of menus, the menu card, and methods.
• Contributes ideas for kitchen improvements.
• Is able to guide junior staff in the kitchen.

Requirements

Your Profile:

• MBO 3 working and thinking level.
• Someone who has demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Good communication skills in English/Dutch.
