Event Partnership and Motorsport Manager

Position Overview

The Event Manager is responsible for the development, planning and execution of all automotive event platforms for the region Latin America. This includes but is not limited to marketing-based drive events, motor shows/exhibitions, motorsports events, engagement activities, partnerships and sponsorships as well as internal events (e.g. Investor/importer conferences).

The position works in close coordination with relevant Porsche AG departments, the local importers and the regional marketing agency. The individual must professionally interact with internal departments (esp. Marketing Communication) to ensure that all event programs follow company directives, are delivered on time and adhere to Porsche brand standards. This position will also have a high level of interaction with customers/prospects and will be required to act as the face of the brand by delivering brand aspiration and fascination.

The Event Manager will set the strategy and direction for all core automotive related brand-oriented programs, motorsports as well as partnerships and sponsoring initiatives for the region Latin America. Decisions made will affect operationally and strategically relevant areas of customer excitement and brand loyalty.

Porsche Latin America supports a network of 16 importers and 41 Porsche Centers throughout 22 countries in Central and South America, and the Caribbean. Our mission is to build and maintain positive relationships with our customers, importers and local partners.

Tasks

Roles & Responsibilities

Porsche Driving Experience PWRS: Supervision/coordination/reporting of the planning and implementation of the Porsche World Roadshow PTX: Supervision/coordination of all Porsche Track Experience related matters:

  • Promotion of all existing international Porsche Experience formats/offers
  • Development, piloting and roll-out of additional local Porsche Experience formats/offers

PTC: Coordination/promotion of all international Porsche Travel Experience offers PDE (other): Supervision/coordination of all other local driving events:

  • Promotion/coordination of existing best business practices of driving experience formats (incl. Test drive events)
  • Development, piloting and roll-out of additional local driving experience formats/offers

Porsche Driving Center Mexico: Supervision and reporting annual activities Other: Management/handling of driving instructors to support local formats/offers Motorsport Supervision/coordination of all central and local motorsport activities (i.e. 24h of Le Mans, Formula E, La Carrera Panamericana) Brand Partnerships/Sponsoring Supervision/coordination of all regional brand partnerships and sponsoring activities Promotion/utilization of existing partnerships and tools/formats (i.e. Standardized partnership toolkits, racing simulation, golf, tennis) Market Events Develop and implement new ways for PLA markets to plan and execute events more efficiently (Event management software, Guidelines) Develop and implement new types of events within the PLA region (i.e. New target group formats, virtual events, lifestyle experiences, partnership collaborations) Overall Supervision/coordination of annual planning of all central (PLA) and local (importer) marketing event measures Ongoing review and revision of central and local event planning Marketing Budget control in the experiential marketing area Responsibility for event management tool Ensuring KPI based performance measurement of event measures Alignment of event planning with overall corporate strategy and operational targets Steering of regional PLA agency for all event related matters and ensure, that all activities are in line with central brand guidelines Primary contact for importers for all other event related topics Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

  • 4 year degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in marketing operations and/or event management in the automotive or luxury consumer goods industry with international companies (preferably with Latin America and Europe).

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud.
