The Field Service Engineer (m/f/d) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic systems, including clinical chemistry, immunochemistry, and automation. This position is part of the field service team and will be based in Hanover, Lower Saxony region.
You will be part of the field service team and report to the Regional Service Manager, who is responsible for customer support. If you thrive in a supportive role and want to help build a world-class customer service organization, read on.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to take on the following tasks:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of diagnostic systems, immunochemistry, clinical chemistry, and automation systems
- Compliance with relevant regulations such as MPG, MedGV, and VDE, as well as Beckman Coulter quality standards
- Brief training of laboratory users and answering technical questions from our customers
- Close collaboration with colleagues from Sales, Applications, Service Hotline, and Service Dispatch
- Organization and optimization of your personal spare parts inventory
- Timely completion of all administrative tasks, such as recording service reports using Service Max
Key requirements for this position include:
- Completed training as a technician and/or MTLA (medical technical laboratory assistant), or comparable education in a scientific/technical field with 2+ years of experience
- Solid technical knowledge (mechanics/electronics)
- Strong interest in direct customer contact and solving complex problems together with our customers in a varied work environment
- High level of independence and accustomed to acting on your own responsibility
- Ability to apply social skills combined with a customer-oriented mindset and approach
- Very good MS Office skills: Oracle knowledge is a plus
- Fluent German language skills and good English language skills are essential
- Willingness to travel about 80% and a valid Class B driver's license
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Experience in a technical service company, ideally in the healthcare sector
- Relevant knowledge of regulations and standards for IVDs (in vitro diagnostics)
