About the Team

Our Human Resources team sits as a part of our multi-disciplinary Human Resources Operations Team, located at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Ipswich, Redbank.

Our team provides support and guidance across our National and International footprint in the areas of Payroll, Safety, Workforce Development, Veterans Engagement, Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Global Mobility, Health and Wellbeing, Administration and IR/ER.

A team focused on delivering best practice HR processes and services.

We are seeking a HR Business Partner to join the HR team on a permanent basis, based in our Melbourne office.

About the role

We are seeking a HR Business Partner to join the HR team on a permanent basis, based in our Melbourne office. This is your chance to bring your extensive HR experience to a fast paced, collaborative team.

As the HR Business Partner, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Establish sound relationships throughout the organisation;
  • Provide consistent, timely and credible advice on HR topics;
  • Assist employees, managers with payroll queries;
  • Partner with the team leaders and business leaders across all areas of HR including performance management, recruitment and retention, engagement and remuneration reviews;
  • Actively promote a positive and consultative HR style to the broader business;
  • Support or lead various HR projects as required;
  • Contribute to business improvement/quality programs and enterprise risk management activities; and
  • Other tasks as requested by the General Manager – Human Resources & Safety.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience;
  • Demonstrated Payroll knowledge and experience in a Payroll support function;
  • Well-developed interpersonal, facilitation, influencing and networking skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to provide effective, appropriate advice and information to a variety of people and use discretion with confidential information;
  • Intermediate level of use with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong organisational skills; and
  • Be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening.

Highly desirable for this position:

  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors;
  • Job evaluation certification; and
  • Experience working within global organisations/parent company.
