Serving as the key partner and act as a strategic and tactical business partner to the relevant business manager for Electrification IS Americas and those organizations that are supported by Americas hosted services. Additionally, support IS organization charges to Electrification Installation Products (ELIP) Global Division, US. Reporting to the Electrification IS Controller, need to lead local Controlling teams to optimize financial performance within the function with a focus on both running cost and project costs. Support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, adding transparency, and interpreting financial data from multiple systems to consolidate and evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions.

Your responsibilities
  • Strategy: Partner with EL IS Regional leader to structure and run the EL managed costs within Americas
  • Partner with EL IS Regions to understand global charges to ELIP
  • Designs and implements a strategic investment appraisal and decision-making process based on a clear understanding of cost, risk, interdependencies, and impact on existing business activities, enabling measurement and objective evaluation of potential changes and the benefits to be realized
  • Budget / Financials: Translate strategy into business plans and establish measurable targets
  • Partner with management to oversee the planning, forecasting, and to monitor progress and ensure costs are within budget
  • Applies the financial model, ensuring consistency of Financial management processes, cost transparency and proper cost tracing
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, manages and controls budgets, ensuring clear and reliable financial reporting and communication
  • Ensures that projects/programs are planned, approved appropriately, and meet financial hurdles while partnering with COE resources to ensure correct accounting treatment of costs (capital vs expense)
  • Drives the annual budget and monthly forecast processes
  • Stakeholder Management: Works with key stakeholders to ensure that an appropriate communication strategy is implemented and maintained to drive the collaboration and understanding of the EL-IS roadmap and objectives
  • Internal Controls: Ensures work is compliant with all applicable ABB Regulations and ABB Group Guidelines
  • Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines
  • Support internal and external audits
  • People Management: Provides a supportive environment for enhanced performance and professional growth
  • Partner with multiple COE resources
Your background
  • A master’s degree in information systems, accounting, business administration, or a related field with 10 years of experience working in a matrix organization with multiple ERPs .
  • Experience in financial and budget management with a strong focus on cost control.
  • Knowledge of and experience in working with procurement and vendor management on negotiating with vendors and service providers by providing key levers and requirements.
  • Collaborative and a team player with the ability to work in a multicultural and multi-located team. Ability to communicate openly and effectively with many diverse stakeholders, with external vendors and auditors, and with staff. Highly organized and multitasking skills.
  • Driven for success and aspiring to a culture of service excellence. Ability to drive transformation and change management.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity. Ability to work decisively under pressure considering the criticality, urgency and extended work hours required to ensure availability of the service in accordance to service level commitments.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written is required. Minimal travel requirements.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
