Health & Safety Compliance Manager – Gloucestershire
Are you an experienced Health & Safety, Compliance, SHEQ or Quality professional looking for a senior role within an established fire and security business?
We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Compliance Manager to join a highly respected BAFE and NSI Gold accredited fire and security company based in Gloucestershire.
This is a varied and hands-on position where you will take ownership of the company's Health & Safety, Fire and Security Compliance standards, working closely with senior management, operational teams and engineers.
You will be responsible for ensuring the business continues to meet its regulatory, accreditation and operational requirements, while identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and compliance culture.
The Role
As Health & Safety Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Managing and continually improving the company's Health & Safety Management System.
*
Owning the internal Fire Compliance Framework for company premises.
*
Managing the compliance evidence framework for security systems and associated service activities, including CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and monitoring.
*
Leading preparation for internal and external audits, including NSI and BAFE.
*
Regularly visiting engineers and customer sites to undertake compliance audits and inspections.
*
Conducting and reviewing risk assessments, method statements and site inspections.
*
Leading incident investigations and managing corrective and preventative actions.
*
Maintaining accurate compliance records, documentation and evidence.
*
Working with managers and engineers to improve compliance standards and operational processes.
About You
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a Health & Safety, Compliance, SHEQ, Quality or Operational Compliance management role.
You will need to be confident working both independently and with operational teams and have the credibility to challenge managers and engineers when required.
Essential experience includes:

Previous experience in a Health & Safety, Compliance, SHEQ, Quality or similar role.
*
Strong knowledge of risk assessments, method statements, site inspections and incident investigations.
*
Experience managing corrective actions and compliance improvement.
*
Experience preparing for and supporting internal and external audits.
*
Strong document control and evidence management skills.
*
Excellent report writing and action tracking abilities.
*
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
*
An understanding of fire detection and alarm compliance documentation.
*
An understanding of security system compliance documentation, ideally covering CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and monitoring.
*
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent as a minimum.
Desirable
*
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
*
Experience within the fire and security industry.
*
Knowledge of NSI Gold requirements.
*
Knowledge of BAFE requirements.
*
Experience working with ISO 9001 or similar management systems.
*
Experience within an accredited or highly regulated environment.
