How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to develop a long-term career in Quantity Surveying within the high-end construction sector, working alongside experienced commercial and project professionals.

    The Role

Working closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, subcontractors and suppliers, you will support the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Assist with cost planning, estimating and project budgets

Support the preparation and analysis of tenders and quotations

Assist with procurement of subcontractors and materials

Help prepare and manage subcontractor packages

    Monitor project costs and expenditure

Assist with valuations, applications for payment and variations

Support the preparation of cost reports and forecasts

Assist with measuring works and reviewing quantities

Maintain accurate commercial and project documentation

Work closely with site teams to monitor progress and costs

Assist with final accounts and project close-out

Develop your understanding of contracts, commercial risk and cost control

    About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially aware, organised and keen to develop their career within Quantity Surveying.

    You'll ideally have:

A degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline

An interest in high-end residential construction, refurbishment or bespoke building

    Strong numerical and analytical skills

    Excellent attention to detail

    Strong communication and organisational skills

Good IT and Microsoft Office skills

The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

The ambition to progress and take on increasing responsibility

Previous construction experience or a placement year would be advantageous but is not essential.

    Why Join?

This is an opportunity to develop your commercial career with a specialist contractor delivering unique, high-quality projects.

You'll gain exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of projects, working across new builds, major refurbishments, listed-building restoration and bespoke construction.

    The company offers:

Hands-on commercial experience across prestigious residential projects

Mentoring from experienced Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals

Exposure to the full project lifecycle

Experience across both construction and bespoke joinery

    Genuine opportunities for career progression

A varied and challenging role within an established construction business

If you're a recent Quantity Surveying graduate looking to build your career within a specialist contractor and want to work on exceptional, bespoke projects where quality and craftsmanship genuinely matter, we'd love to hear from you
