The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking a confident and experienced Family Solicitor to manage a varied private family law caseload independently. The successful candidate will work as part of the wider family team.
As a Family Solicitor, you will be responsible for:
* Managing divorce, separation, financial remedy and private children matters
* Advising on cohabitation disputes, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, separation agreements and protective injunctions
* Handling TOLATA matters where appropriate, with TOLATA experience being ideal
* Supervising and developing junior staff
* Supporting the wider family team
* Attending networking events and assisting with business development
* Contributing to the continued growth of the Doncaster office and the wider firm
The ideal candidate:
* Ideally 8+ years’ PQE in family law, although strong candidates with relevant experience will be considered
* Experience in both children and financial remedy matters
* TOLATA experience is ideal
* Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
* Excellent client care, drafting and communication skills
* Strong commercial awareness and a good billing record
* Experience or willingness to supervise and develop junior colleagues
* Willingness to network and assist with business development
* Ambition to grow within the firm
* Confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office
